Library Hours:
 Monday-Friday : 12:00pm to 6:00pm 

Guidelines for visiting the library: 
  •  Please wear a face covering. 
  •  Please use the provided hand sanitizer upon entry. 
  •  Please observe social distancing and remain 6 feet apart. 
  •  You are welcome to visit the library one time per day, for up to 30 minutes. 
  •  Please, no food or drink inside. 
To the kind souls donating books, we cannot accept anything other than library material returns at this time. The virus is a serious concern and can last several days or more on surfaces. We are quarantining all returns and do not have space or resources available to clean donations. Please do not donate materials at this time 

In order to best serve our patrons, we are open for Curbside Pickup as well as in-person browsing. 

Curbside Pickup: 
STEP 1: Request your items. Place requests online by logging in to your account, searching/browsing the catalog, and placing your hold request(s), or by filling out the Curbside Pickup Form, or by phone at 286-8971, or email at 

STEP 2: Let us know when you’ve arrived, then pick up! When you get to the library, call 286-8971 to let us know you’re here, and we will place your items on the table for you outside the front entrance. Please maintain social distancing. If the entrance is busy, please wait in your vehicle or at a distance. Our goal is to serve everyone as promptly, efficiently, and safely as possible!

Visit: OR download the Libby app to your device At this time there are 9843 eBook titles and 6963 audiobook titles (and often multiple copies of each title) available in the NHDB collection to check out and enjoy, as well as our handful of popular magazines. (Limited to 3 checkouts at a time). 


Are masks required? 
Yes, masks are required for library staff & patrons who wish to enter the building, and we have masks available as needed. HML cardholders who are unable to wear face coverings can use our Curbside Pickup service. 

How can I return items? 
The book drop is always open. You can also return your items inside if you are coming to browse!

How can I find out if my holds are ready? 
Please call 286-8971. Most holds are pulled within the first hour of opening! 

Can I request items from other libraries? 
Yes! The interlibrary loan service is running again. Materials do take longer to get from other libraries due to current quarantine safety measures.
